Fill In The Blank Friday....

 

1. The age I will be on my upcoming birthday is 39. I am not sure how it happened, I still feel about 25.

2. The best birthday present ever would be  a healthy, happy baby that we have around my birthday.... Although it was quite the surprise we are very excited.....and still a little shocked!

3. My favorite birthday to date was 30. My parents threw a big party. I finally had fallen into a career I adored and I had just found out I was pregnant after almost 10 years of being with my husband.(And here 9 years later we are doing it again...lol) 

4. Birthdays make me feel melancholy. I don't have a problem aging I just feel like the years are slipping by and I have so much more to accomplish.

5. The worst birthday I ever had was 29. I was at a loss concerning the direction of my life. I told my grandmother it was the worst birthday of my life and she replied "82 was my worst". What can you say to that?

6. When I was born my mom was 21. I cant even imagine.

7. So far my favorite age has been the best is yet to come!

Five Question Friday ~ 8/10/12

1. Thunder storms- love them or hate them?

I love them as long as everyone is at home. My husband is a firefighter and the town he works in floods so if it rains he is out in it. 

2. Do your kids get back to school clothes

Yes...when I was in school my grandparents always gave us special back to school money so my parents have carried on that tradition....and my mother in law has even gotten into the act!

3. Do you golf? Do you watch it?

I was hospitalized during the premature birth of my son during the 2004 PGA Masters...my husband watched the whole thing. I guess I am just lucky he didn't name our son Phil while I was unconscious.

 

4. Showers or baths?  

A bath in a perfect world, except I don't live there.

5. What's the strangest meal you ever ate?

I am a food writer so not much surprises me.

Five Question Friday

1. What is a must in a hotel room?
Cleanliness! I once made my husband switch hotel rooms because I found fuzz in the floor. Freaky, I know.

2. Which Olympic event would you be best at?
UUUMMM ...wrestling? I have a house full of boys so I can throw down!

3. What's your stance on the Chick-fil-A subject?
OK here is the thing...I don't like the food. I sometimes meet the local mom's group there so the kiddos can play and have lunch but it is not something I seek out. That said I am a firm believer in having the right to voice your opinion. I am still a little shocked it caused such a stir...I thought everyone knew where the company stood on such issues!

4. One thing you said you'd never do as a parent, but totally have.
 I have let my oldest son play video games that I wouldn't admit to out in public.

5. What's the weirdest thing you've ever found at a yard sale?
 I am way to much of a freak to do yard sales...my cleanliness phobia wont allow it.
